The critics praised her for acting in such a flamboyant and perhaps sly character, that many believed was impossible due to her previous serious performances. She portrayed Heather in the film Kim Possible. She was a guest in Kim Possible (2006). It was among the first actresses to voice roles. Van der Poli was the voice of Ronnie in Shake It Up, a Disney Channel Original Series Shake It Up in 2011. Van der Poli recorded numerous songs for Walt Disney Records, including the song she composed with Raven-Symone & Orlando Brown for That's So the soundtrack of Raven. Over It was recorded for the Disney Channel Original Movie Stuck in The Suburbs. Van der Pol recorded R&B/pop versions of the Lion King's Circle of Life, and Cinderella's Dream Is a Wish You Make for the special edition release of both films, which also featured The Disney Channel Circle of Stars. In 2006, she recorded her own cover of the classic Disney song Candle on the Water from Pete's Dragon for an edition of Disneymania. Due to her broadway role as Belle van der Pol recorded many songs that were featured in the theatrical production's soundtrack including the iconic A Change in Me.
